Nicola Tupis -Lampworked Glass Artist

Creating individual glass pieces of art is truly an exhilarating experience! Every piece I create is unique, one-of-a-kind, with exciting explorations of color throughout. During the creation process, the glass becomes extremely fluid when it is heated, so that I can manipulate it in any way that I choose.  I am fascinated by the infinite ways the colors can be combined and transitioned into new color mixtures.

My jewelry is made with Borosilicate and Moretti Glass and sterling silver Beads and clasps. Every piece of glass is a handcrafted, flameworked, carefully sculpted, and annealed in a kiln to increase the pieces longevity.

Every aspect of working with the glass media, from contorting the shape, partnering the colors, and the fluidness of the glass moving with the heat of the torch fascinates me!
